Ingredients
- 2 small onions diced
- 2 leeks, sliced
- 1 shallot, diced
- 2 ribs celery diced
- 8 oz. crimini mushrooms, chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- ⅔ cup butter
- 3 - 4 tbsp. NutraKik® Original
- 3 - 4 cups of water
- 12 cups bread cubes
- 1 1/2 tablespoon of each fresh sage, thyme, rosemary
- 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped
- Salt to taste
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, leek, shallot and celery and cook until tender (do not brown). Add mushrooms, cranberries and herbs and cook for another 2 minutes. Place bread cubes in a large bowl and add the veggie mixture.
To make the broth, mix NutraKik® Original with the water and pour overtop until cubes are moist (but not soggy) and gently toss. You may not need all of the broth. Season with salt to taste.
Place mixture in a serving dish, dot with additional butter and sprinkle the pecans overtop and cover. Bake 35 minutes, uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
